1st Southeast Europe Smart Society Conference

1st Southeast Europe Smart Society Conference was organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia and other partner institutions in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The main topic of the conference was an overview of the European guidelines for systematic implementation of the smart city conceptualization. Audience on the conference were different leaders in Slovenian local communities, municipal and development agencies and partners that are involved in the development of smart cities.
Conference was opened with welcome speech of mayor Zoran Janković form City Municipality of Ljubljana. The aspects and insights from developing products and services in smart cities was given in interested speech by Michael Mulquin, Chair of the IEC Smart Cities Systems committee. Another interested speech was given by Gregor Čufer, directorate-general for Regional and Urban policy in European Commission. He introduced aspects from cohesion policy – how can this instrument helps make European cities fit for the digital transformation.
We were honoured to be invited to this conference and presented VIVIOT digital platform for smart public spaces. VIVIOT platform can be easily integrate in municipalities, so this was a perfect opportunity to introduce our platform to leaders and mayors, network with them and create new successful stories.
